cheap computer

I'm moving outta my parents, with my girls (as most of you who pay attention know). the date has been moved from end of dec, to mid nov, to end of oct, to next week fri. anyway this all means I'll be computer-less. by cheap, I mean like $200 or something like that. All I'm looking for is something that I'd be able to go on the net with for forums and chat (perferably with a 56K modem since I'll have to run dial up). I'll still be able to drop in at my parents sometimes to check my email and check in maybe (once a week or something like that). so best way to reach me after oct 19th is by email (specialized2@hotmail.com).

i have some things you can have for less than 200

i would say 100ish could get you up and running

thanks martin, that's awesome. I *should* have some extra cash flow at the end of the month...and by that time I'll know if the car will be good enough for longer trips (iffy on if the tranny is good right now)

I'll get in touch with you when I have some cash and can make the trip...I'm guessing early November. Thanks again :D

JR I may be up Owen Sound way within the next few weeks, if you can send Martin the cash I could arrange to drop it off for you

However this is not set in stone as I'm taxi-ing a friend

Thanks for the offer. I have been meaning to make it down there for quite some time, just haven't had a vehicle. I won't have trouble finding someone to watch the girls for a day (so they don't have to endure such a car ride which would seem very long to them lol). but let me know - a little in advance if possible - when/if you are coming up this way just in case something goes horribly wrong with this car (which everything basically has so far - so I'm keeping my fingers crossed lol)
