idea/request for a theme..

can we get a theme going for the forum that doesn't include the picture of the cars at the top... i know I'm on a celica forum and stuff but some times i feel like surfing this site in the presence of others can allow them to judge my surfing habits.

if we had a generic theme and i turn off my sigs and avatars i could still surf it with out being judged by clients.

colors and styles can all stay the same the only things i would change would be the header and the pics of the 4 cars.... call it the "at work" theme and save us all from getting fired, except for me...cause i don't have a boss...i just get judged by family and clients

so you mean like a genernic theme thats removes the uniqueness of the site that can be selected as an option?

if this is what you mean its written into VBB and its very easy to do, would take Ratko (or other vbbadmin) about 30 seconds to set up, if its not already in there

I'm just trying to make sure I understand the request, and if that is what you mean, I'm all for it, despite the fact I won't make use of it

i know that it's in there, i just thought i would suggest something be installed... i know ratko doesn't overlook things and i know he's probably thought of doing it already but perhaps he didn't find it necessary based on the fact that it may have not been wanted. supply meets demand so seeing that it had never been asked for i didn't think he bothered, also he's a busy man and we can only ask so much of him. however...

Change the board so you can slack off on your job and not get overlooked by your clients.... Wow... Why not do your job and go on the site when your off work. Hahahaha... White collar workers kill me! I would laugh my ass off if my hand even wanted a 2 min break from work, nevermind surf the net. Things like this make me not feel bad making 70K+ a year working, when people make 35K and work maybe 5 REAL hours a week. Smarten up.

I dont need people on the internet to necessarily like me. But I know the majority if we met in person would! :D And Im not working the rigs right now, most of them shut down summer time because the roads turn into swamps. Maybe I dont contribute alot to this site, but make this my contribution. I personally like those pics at the top. If it was an OPTION to not have those displayed, that would be AWESOME! But I would hate for them to not exist anymore. (I realize its already being discussed as an OPTION) I always get a smile on my face when I see my Celi at the top. :D And I really couldnt care less if someone prefers to sit at a desk, walk the streets as a cop, turn a wrench in a shop etc. Work principles are WORK PRINCIPLES, regardless of what you do. What happens if your company goes belly-up? Since 1996 33% of people are taking less sick days/leaves. Why, because the job force is becoming more and more competitive (aside from students on here, how many people on this site have been at their job less than 3-4 years? Out of those, how many feel they are in a position where it will become their career until retirement?) Hell, Im still jumping from job to job. Anyways long story short, those who look for a way to waste X minutes, are only going to down the road waste X minutes + more. Maybe I come from an old school mentality, but you go to work to work.

he's being dumb... it's a great idea and it in no way implies laziness or a desire to not do work... if thats how you look at it then chances are thats the kind of person you are.

I thought it was a great idea because then I will look professional sitting at the desk browsing a site with out things like half naked chicks all over the top banners (or pic thumbnails) - So don't sit there in mommy and daddy's basement and tell me i am not being productive or that i am a bad employee because i fill the spaces in my day with networking and reading topics i may find to be of interest.

are u fucking retarded, no like seriously...where do you get off talking shit about white collar workers...especially salary wise YOU CANT EVEN COMPARE? 35K a year...where do you get your figures? I WILL START AT 60K out of school doing a white collar job working max 3 hours a day of actual work, the rest is shooting the shit and having coffee. You will be in the fields or wherever the hell you are labouring in overtime in bum fuck nowhere to get to 70 K, ill be there in 2 years of experience which is basically being shown the ropes around the business unit. Sorry buddy, maybe YOU SHOULD'VE SMARTENED UP, gone to school so you could be priviledge enough to take those 2minute breaks whenever you felt like it.
