Parting out my GT-Four RC Entirely :'(

I'm basically in tears typing this up. So much time, money, and love spent on this car and all my hard work demolished at the speed of 20kmh. I rear ended someone during my way to school in the morning. I hit the brakes to light and i ended hitting this Chevy Optra. My Aluminum crash bar was so pathetic. It basically knifed my car. The Optra owner had minor scuffs on his bumper. We have decided to settle our damages privately.

I thought of fixing it... But the costs of an RC bumper, straightening my hood, supports, aluminum bar + paint and the other drivers costs make me think it's not possible. I have spent far too much on this car.

Anyway I have set up strict prices on everything. I will not move them because I am trying to come up with cash for a 205. I am an honest person and I believe that these prices are VERY reasonable...So please everyone... Help me buy a 205...

Sal, are you certain that your car is not able to be repaired or that it is not worth your while to do so?

Considering that you spent so much "time, money and love" on the car, as you say, is that not all the more reason to go to the effort to make the necessary repairs? Also, the car is rare. I think that is a good reason to do what you can to fix her up.

Now, I know that some parts are already spoken for; but do you really want to give up on this lifelong pursuit in whch you have invested so much?

It seems to me as though you are throwing away a nice peice of machinery there.

Or am I wrong?

just like I said on Alltrac. If you want to fix it I'll help. we can just grab a bumper from the junk yard. Heck maybe even a red one. fuck with the hood and get her going again so you can sell it.
Otherwise I kinda want to buy your driveshaft and rear end. What do you want for the wheels?

Damn man... I feel for ya, I do. I hate to see you part her out. I can't see what happened beyond your bumper but if the radiator isn't touched, I would love to see you fix it. I'll even throw in any parts off my Conv Celi for you (you pay only for ship) if it will help. I still have two good pop up lights. That would save you a chunk of change...

Right. We won't have RC bumper and hood but you can replace the whole front end. We should have a few stock bumpers sitting around. You can cut the vents out and put them on stock hood. Take the bumper out and see what else you need.

^^That's what I was thinking. In fact I would look for replacement parts as inexpensive as possible (bumper and hood) just to get her going and then look for the RC parts. In time as I would hopefully find the parts, I would drive to go get them including driving to the states and then swap the partrs out and just trash the non-RC parts and drive home.
There has got to be RC parts around North America somewhere.

I don't knoooooowwwwwwww; but I think someone is making a miiiiisssstaaaaaaaakkkkeeee.

This red beauty does not look like a lost cause to me.

ill sell you my alltrac hood, i beleive its the same red, i have a front bumper, but its a little beat on the bottom, and anything else i might have that you need, id much rather take what i can use off the car for you then fix it up, myyy alltrac is alot more of a lost cause
