Re: FS: cohiba cigars
have you kept them humidified, or just left on a table. Last week when did she come back, I need to know how long they have been sitting for.
FYI cigars need to be humidified to stay fresh, more then a few days, if you want to keep them fresh untill you sell them. Get a giant ziplock bag place the whole box inside the bag. Get a sponge and wet it with luke warm water, distilled is better. leave the sponge in the bag completely sealed. Don't, I repeat don't put them in the frezzer.

Re: FS: cohiba cigars
Off coarse it is urgent, they are kept humidified when you go into a cigar store or cigar bar. When you purchase them they are given to you in a sealed zip lock bag, which should also be temporary until you place them into your humidor at home.
Besides they were brought from a very humid country to ours. The temperature difference is enough to warrant it.

Re: FS: cohiba cigars
They do look real, but the one thing throwing me off is the shade of each of the cigars, now from my experience and research a real box will have a uniform shade across every cigar, this is accomplished because the leaves are fermented and taken from the same batch. If you go to a loblaws with a holy smokes department that has a walk in humidor you can verify this for yourself buy looking at the boxes.
The top picture makes me believe this to be a genuine box, but the second pic has me second guessing. Could definitely be the lighting in the pic. Another way to tell is by smoking them they should burn evenly through out the whole smoke. Ash should be off white to a very light grey. You should be able to smoke 2/3rds of the cigar without the ash falling off A cigar that runs is also a sign of a counter fit as a properly rolled one will burn evenly and not run. Still a very good deal, as they are still of Cuban seed, and soil. Who ever buys should still be very happy with them regardless.

Re: FS: cohiba cigars
i'm not sayin they are not legit.......b/c only cigars bought from gov't stores contain the hologram......boxers for retailers worldwide won't have it....
so it depends how she got them....but at the same time...holograms and labels could be sold on the black market.....see the following sites for details... How to spot counterfeit or fake Cuban Cigars ........talks about hte features of the box... Cuban Cigar Online Corp.-cigars cuban - Habano cigars .........just info Cuban cigars bands labels and accessories for sale ..........a spot to buy fake labels and holograms... make ur own conclusions...and good luck with the sale..... i'd say..just keep them and smoke them!

Re: FS: cohiba cigars
daim...i knew cigs were very particular...but it seems that this is a crazy industry...seems like its almost impossile to spot a fake according to your links...i dunno man...well...spending 800 bux at the cigar shop would guarantee real cigs...spending 10 bux with me might be a chance to take??
thanks for educating everyone here. korn. Quote:

Re: FS: cohiba cigars
whats the lowest price you'll take for the whole thing? i don't want to be a low baller but if you would take like 100 for the box i'll come pick it up... what did she pay for it?
i don't want to low ball you but i've been told you can get boxes like that for 100 in cuba... what if i give you 100 and you keep 5 for your self?
