Those are crank bearings. What whould cause such damage on a fresh rebuild engine?

The clearance on those bearings had to be too tight, starving ithem of oil.

Poor lubrication. Had my connecting rod snap around the ring. You could see the heat rash on the metal. Use that lucas oil stabalizer, or try running synthetic oil. Its the lack of lubrication.

Custom made telfon or graphic bearing. Just dreaming. Oh anyone got a working 3S-GTE oil pump? Think Canadian Tire got rebuild one?
