Not changing the cams, springs but the porter will grind the valve for better flow. Its a full P&P job not some half ass shop with a grinder.
For a P&P job you should take it to the best possible garage for them to be the most accurate. A P&P job I doubt would significantly increase car performance, but it will help. Are you thinking about boring the cylinders/increase displacement? As for griding the valves and rebuilding engines thats what I did all through highschool, loved it. I did it for a Nissan 240SX, whats the reason for failure in that engine you have?

Yea P&P is being done professionally including all valve jobs, intake manifold and TB. Not getting bigger TB just polish it up.
Not gonna bore the cylinder, maybe high CR piston next year.
Engine not fail yet, just leaking oil and probably overheated before. So I got an used engine, work on it then swap it in. Hope I can finish the swap in one weekend.
Also looking for stiffer engine mounts. Got a few links on using urethane mix to fill up stock one. Anyone know where I can get them?
P&P will be finish next week. Need to work on bottom end this weekend, clean and paint everything.

Yea same gen 5S-FE swap. Then there always something to go wrong, jamed nuts, broken bolts.
How do I take the engine out? The damn thing is so heavy. How about the tranny? Do I need to take it out too? I'm thinking to take the engine apart and take it out piece by piece.

Oil pan removed:



Clean and polished piston:




Head and block will be cleaned and recove today.
All rod and crank bearings are ordered and pickup today also.
So gonna take tomorrow off to finish cleaning and painting everything. Hopfully will have time to put the block together.
I'll be working on this all weekend. Anyone wanna come help or just watch is wellcome.

BTW anyone have a engine lift I can borrow for the weekend?

Sat:
Didn't get engine out. Still need to remove power steeringpump and wiring harness. Took longer then I though to remove.
4 stands and 2 wheel, not going anywhere fast:

Most of the stuffs on driver side removed:

Major oil leak at the back of the engine:

Battery was put back so I have alarm.

Sunday:
It rain can't use my electrical impact gun. So just keep peping the new engine.
Painted with high temp manifold paint. Looks like chrome
Block:

Intake manifold:

Valve cover and head:


Car still on jack.
Still haven't got engine out.
Maybe I'll need to tow it to a mechanic to get engine out and put the rebuild one in.
Next time I'll just do rebuild
