Looks like bodykits and spoilers. Where's the pics of the engine mods. They maybe able to turn heads but so does a granny walking down the street in a thong. The best cars looks stock :) all 7GR

Lol I'm not hatin. I just belive put money into your motor first. A shiny car I shall never fear. A primer car is another story. its as bad as a civic driver.

It's the difference between celispeed.com and newcelica.org. I come here for my engine/performance questions and there for (most of) my appearance questions. Also, engine work takes $$$ and that's something I don't have much of. I've upped my spending limit from my taxes to accommodate lowering springs and possibly SRI, but other than that, everything I do will be appearance until I save up for some decent engine work.

and Sub, don't hate on the "All show no go" theme. Some people just don't believe in tracking their DDs. I for one, drive an auto GT. Potential? Yeah, but I don't have enough money to even come close to the engine mods you have. Hell, I'd be lucky hit break the 150whp mark. lol

I know there considered show car. But forgive me I'm a motor head and greece monkey lol so its my way of thinking. It just seems to me most 7th gens are all show but no go. There's afew that I have respect for. Yeah I understand perfectly. That it costs a lot of money lol hell I've dumped about enough money into my motor alone. To buy a 7th gen. So I understand perfectly.

it's because performance parts are really hard to find for the 7th gen... so unless you are really savvy on the internet you can't really find them

Heh I've found everything ever needed for a 7th gen so I don't buy that one. :) sorry if I'm soundin like an ass but its the truth. I acualy think my next project maybe a 7th gen. Once my 5th is done.

i think the real problem is price. parts r expensive for a performance build compared to show parts

^^ True that. I spend $18 today on spray paint and painted my hood scoop black. Cheap, easy, and looks sexy as hell.

Heh I just find it funny. Hell I just took the intake manifold. Exhaust manifold and head off a 1zz heh I'm startin to learn a lot about your guys motor and I don't even have one lol.

I think it's harder to find parts for a 5S-FE. Well...quality parts that is, and not ebay parts. and yeah, I've been on newcelica.org long enough that I know a thing or two about the 2zz motor. Hell, I think I might be getting a 6spd GT-S as my next car.

Matt there's a diffrence between knowing and knowlege about a motor. Like before I thought the 1zz had a covering on the intake manifold. But nope its all composite plastic. There's also a surge tank under it. Kinda nifty design compared to the 5s and 3s. Also is a hell of a lot lighter than the 5s/3s. And the exhaust mani is smaller and lighter. The camshaft design also is kinda interesting. There's a girdle by the cam gears and a ballanceing. Or adjustment cam on the intake side. And there's a hell of a lot more sensors on the 1zz. 5s basicly has none in comparison. Both manifolds are simple and easy to remove.
