today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
Just got this in today. Probably the least expensive sub/amp one could buy that actually has some quality to it. 12" Rockford Fosgate R1, 2-channel Rockford Fosgate r150-2
![]() The place that did it. A good friend of mine does the installs, so I agreed to advertise haha: ![]() I filled in the Celica letters with Vinyl decals ![]()

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
how did you get the amp to screw into the back of the seat? I wasn't able to get screws to go in... so I attached it to the side of the sub enclosure

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
I don't know. My friend who does professional installs did it. I watched most of it but wasn't there when he screwed it into the seat back.

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
oh and make sure you tie down the enclosure somehow so it doesn't slide around... I used a strap come along on the two tie down loops at the back of the trunk

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
That's a good idea ^^. Makes a good use for those tie down things. I was gonna use a block of wood til i figured out something better, but your set up makes more sense...

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
this is how mine is setup... I have foam in between the back panel and the sub so it doesn't rattle

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
it's kinda ghetto looking but it doesn't fucking go anywhere... and I have the cone facing up so the sound bounces off the rear hatch and heads forward and so I don't have to worry about things that are in the trunk hitting it while it's on

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
Mine hasn't moved yet. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to get rid of license plate rattle. I think I might get a mount for the plate and put something soft behind it to dampen it.

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
you could get some rubber washers to put behind the screws and some foam with sticky back and put that at the bottom

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
Give it time, Mike, give it time. This is the first subwoofer I've ever had in any of my cars.

Re: today: sub/amp, rear celica decals
lol dups you dont know much about systems aye? i have saz3000d 2 dc lvl 5's and could easlly make it into a sq (sound quality) for comps. just because you have high powered equipment does not mean it has to be all boom. just saying. and also just because you have a loud system does not make you rice blaring your music through town = rice blaring your music at stop lights = rice trying to show your shit off = rice only time i play my music full tilt is when i go to sound offs.
-lol fry i wasnt knocking your shit if u have ur child in the car alot no need to go all out.,decent setup for first system i just wouldnt pay the money for the 'name brand' stuff when you can get way better for the same price if you ever want to upgrade check out sundownaudio.com or dcsoundlab.com

About the brand name stuff, a friend of mine is really into sound systems and he was kinda upset that i got rockford fosgate. He kept trying to talk me into JL. And it'll be a while before I upgrade. This one sub gives me a headache sometimes. I dont know that I'll ever need any more. ![]()
