Re: My 1st Gen Celica
Yeah
i spent 1000-2000hours rebuilding the body (i did have help i was doing an apprenticeship in restoration for a while)... Its actually the TA22 body (1.8L engine) with the RA23 body (2.0L engine) in it... It took so long to get the 2.0L engine in because the engine bay in this body is smaller then the RA23 body....but i wasn't to know that untill i tried :( I couldn't use lots of my RA23 body parts because they don't fit the TA22 body . But the TA22 body had no rust at all so it was sort of worth it. I wouldn't do it again because the TA22 body is a bit narrower and the wheel archers and front spoiler aren't as cool as the RA23 or mustang back. Not to mention the fact that so much was not interchangeable between the bodys even though they look the same. I really want to upgrade the suspension and get some new wheels. The wire wheels i have weigh about 20kg (42bl) each. The spokes can snap and cost about US$100 to replace for each one :) and they perform poorly because they flex. Anyway, Peace. |
