My Snowmobile!

Heres a picture of my little 2000 Yamaha SX600 snowmobile with a mid size windsheild.

The expert may notice the Ohlins gas shocks up front...

Its actually a full blown sled.

mods: SRX 700cc triple cylinder engine. Triple tuned-pipes, boyesen carbon fiber reed valves, shaved heads, heelclicker clutch kit, lot of tuning and rejeting.

New track with 1inch lugs and 144 studs going on this weekend. Getting ready for snow.

My guess is the sled has around 165 hp. Give or take.

Never did... It really looks cool but I don't think I ever will. Its an easy way to lose a lot in a few seconds.

I don't really enjoy going on the frozen lakes either. Heard too many horror stories..

I'll stick to trails. With the suspension on the soft setting, this thing will bring the skis up when you gun it at 60kmh and they will come down at around 150kmh. Pulls to 120mph (radar) and then its revved out, I'dd have to play with my clutches to go faster. But what I like to do is pull from 30-40 to 160. Its perfect the way it is.

no i meant shut her off... as long as you kill the motor before she goes under and you have the throttle shut they typicaly don't see any damage assuming that your electrical is all properly sealed up... and honestly, walking on water is incredible on a good day it feels like powder so deep that you never touch anything.

Practice on rivers first, it's way easier to get them out if you sink. I have never attempted a lake or anything yet but i'm confident i could do one after a few refresher runs this winter.

yea but if someone says lets go sledding it means snowmobiling, and if you want to go downhill sledding you call it tobogganing. well in Alberta at least.

I live close to ottawa, but the ferry is about 5 mins from my place and I can hit the quebec trails. Lot nicer.
