Angry 94 GT Front Clip Swap

Hi, Need some help with a 94 GT hatchback that needs a new front clip (son had an unfortunate encounter, please don't ask). What I need to know is: from the front wheel arches forward are there any differences at all between the ST and GT and automatic vs manual transmision models (I know the ST and GT engines are different, but does this matter as far as all the sheetmetal, electrical, etc) ? I'm looking for a donor car to swap front ends, but want to make the swap as simple (and economical) as possible. Since ST models cost less than GT, it should make for a cheaper swap if exactly the same. Similarly, there seem to be many more 5 speeds than AT Celicas available, is this an issue when swapping front ends (I'm leaving the current AT drivetrain 2.2L engine intact). Thanks for any help you can provide. If this post would be more appropriate in the 6Gen forum, let me know and I'll copy it there. Thanks!

To my knowledge the ST and GT are very structually similar, they do have slight variations with in the engine bay, but the front end body lines should match up. They are based off of the same platform. In my eyes I don't think there would be much of a problem, except the electrical aspect of it since they do use quite different engines.

it should work but I honestly do not know for sure. I do know that the main crossmember is different between ST and GT though

Not only are the engine mounts different, but the wiring will be different too. But other wise the frontend or metal in the engine bay will be the same.

Smile Thanks

Thanks for the advice. I'm really not doing a complete front clip which usually involves the entire front end drivetrain and wiring from the firewall forward. What I need is to replace the structure from the center of the wheel wells forward, while leaving the engine/transaxle as is. If engine mounts and electrical layout are different between the ST and GT, I'll look for a GT donor car to keep things simple.
