Lambo doors

Hi,

My name is Vivek. I have a 2004 GT with a TRD bodykit. I wanted to indtall vertical doors. I have a few dobts -

1> Is their any difference between lambo / vertical / scissor / diablo doors? Or are they all fancy names for the same thing.

2> I believe the vertical door may open to different angles...45 degree...90 degree....which is better?

3> The door may be bolted or weleded. Which is better?

4> I spoke to a customizing shop that installs these doors. They claim that their is always a small airgap after installing vertical doors. We just have to live with it. He believes that it can not ever seal as well as the standard doors.

5>I read a previous discussion about lambo doors. I heard that we can get cheap ones from ebay. Does anyone know which one should i buy at ebay. I saw that scotty01 has installed vertical doors. Could you/anyone else advice please.

6> is it a good idea to get automatic lambo doors? How much should I expect to spend on this modification overall.

Two pics of my car are attached below.

Thanks,
V.

Hi,

Try this site:

http://www.LamboDoorConversion.com

or

http://www.ferraridoors.com/lambodoors.htm

You should find everything you need to know about lambo door coversion as they have the kit car method posted online for free as well as conversion kit comparisons. Before you buy anything, make sure you review everything in detail. In the diy guide on the site they talk about angle placement... 90 degrees can only be achieved with lsd and gt factory kits.

Also, do not buy any made in china kits, they will crack eventually.

I am still goin thru the site - www.LamboDoorConversion.com

Meanwhile, back to my first question -
so their are four types of door mods - Neotuning Hinge, Sportgarage Hinge, Autoloc Hinge, Decah Hinge. Where can i find more about each of these.

The GT factory kit video looks cool.....
hey soulja.......what is lsd.....the only lsd i know is the one that keeps me in my best spirits :)
