Re: Hi all!

i did body kit and rims last week

i think i am going to do the HID next week

i am not that much into performance upgrade however I would like to make my car stiffer and stand the bad roads in nyc better, those roads are as rugged as off-road

i am thinking what can i do to make the frame stronger, too

Re: Hi all!

there are various types of frame braces... strut tower braces, c-bar braces, trunk braces, control arm braces

but as far as stiffening the suspension... if the roads are as bad as I have heard in NY I would say try and keep the stock stiffness if not softer to soak up those bumps instead of spreading them through the car

Re: Hi all!

best thing you can do for rough roads is leave it stock and get a higher profile tire.

Re: Hi all!

i guess i am going to keep the stock suspension and install some bars like

TOYOTA BLUE FLOOR BAR CHASSIS BRACE CELICA MR2 CAMRY : eBay Motors (item 220479576640 end time Apr-09-10 18:40:57 PDT)

Toyota 00-05 01 02 03 04 Celica Strut Brace Bar Combo : eBay Motors (item 230452601782 end time Apr-20-10 18:40:48 PDT)

does the brands of these bars matters at all other than looking cooler?

Re: Hi all!

depends on how large of a spacer? they cause stress on ur wheel bearing and the larger spacer u get, the more stress...

Re: Hi all!

well if you are trying to minimize the stress on your car from those crazy New York roads then... yeah it's probably a bad idea

Re: Hi all!

goin with junk on that one. as tacky as it might look, i would say for ny streets, keep stock ride height, and go with a smaller diameter wheel to allow for a higher profile tire.
