i wouldnt do it. only reasoning to do something as extreme as your doing is if your doing a full drag spec car. doing it on a DD isnt a good idea. its going to cause you more ass pain then anything.

yeah maybe but the auto top doesn't work and i have to do it manually anyway i'm sure i can fix it but i might as well get rid of more weight. I am leaving all the carpet and door panels and what not so its still a pleasant ride but what can go is going. its only a 6 mile drive to work round trip and thats about all i drive unless i get bored and take her out to the highway to open her up or cruse the town maybe looking for those damn neons.

i don't think it will work cause of the gen dif. i was think to use the belt from a 90 honda accord the base model for this car didn't have air and it should be the size i need.

try doing this. grab a pice of string. attach it to the pullys. tighten her up. take it to autozone and say you need a belt that will fit a toyota celica thats this big.

ok, thats all I did with mine, went with the non ac belt, was too short, and went up I think 3-4 belt sizes till I had it.

every 100 pounds is a 1/10th sec 1/4 mile time reduction. that video also shows how slow my car is.
