Re: cruise control ain't working....

Toyota is very advanced with their cruise. theres alot of safety and fail safe things. i no for a fact cruise wont work if you have a brake light out... stupid problem but it can cause it... have u checked for codes?

Re: cruise control ain't working....

now thats cool with the cc not working if a brake light is out. didnt know that. hey cb, could it be the servo/module for the cc?

Re: cruise control ain't working....

diagnostic trouble codes. Some systems on your car have whats called self diagnostics. this means when the computer detects a problem, it stores a code. sometimes, this code can cause the check engine light on. when u bring it to a dealership, we hook up a scan tool(another computer) and we can read this code. It tells us the general direction in which we should go to fix the problem. u can actually get codes pulled at your local autoparts stores, like autozone.
