Hey everyone
Well I have just bought my first celica a few days ago, so I figured I should join, so here i am lol. I bought a 1994 celica st liftback.
![]() ![]() Hopefully I actually posted the pictures lol i always have problems with the codes. And before i finish this, i have a few questions. How do you straighten the headlights? Mine are crooked, my S10 has a little screw to adjust them up and down, and another for left and right, where are they on the celica? Also, my celica has the 7th gen seats, and are fricken filthy, does anyone have the covers for cheap, is anyone parting a celica? On ebay the only OEM covers i could find were leather and the guy wanted 500 for them which is waaaaayyyyy out of my price range. |

Re: Hey everyone
You can do the regular intake header exhaust for mild gains but if your looking for good power the 7afe in your car is garbage. For a fun high revving like 160hp you could swap a 4age (you can steal them from the geo prizm GtI or something) or you could swap a 4agze from an old MR2 (supercharged 1.6) These swaps are direct bolt in though may require wiring
If you want big power generally guys go for a 3sgte which in your case would require moving a mount

Re: Hey everyone
welcome to celispeed.
another thing to try for the seats, remove the covers, and throw them in the wash.

Re: Hey everyone
Hey everyone sorry about the inactivity, my computer decided to crap out on me, but i got it working. Just an update (not that anyone cares lol) i cleaned the car good. I shampooed the seats with turtle wax...oxy? and it did wonders! The seats no longer kick up dust yay! I have decided my plans, first i am going to fix all the problems, i took it to my friends dad, who fortunately is a really good mechanic, and told me the only real problems are 1 the brakes, which he can replace, 2 and the cv axel which is not horribly expensive, but takes the entire front end being taken apart to replace. other than that i was told 1600 was a steal which makes me happy (obviously) so my plans are to restore it to new than to eventually turn it into a gt4 clone (which i have fallen in love with lol) ill post more picks up tomorrow, i would have today but i parked under a tree and it got pooped on..fricken birds...lol

Re: Hey everyone
lol. are you going for a true gt4 clone. if so you got alot of work to do. considering the gt4 has a 3sgte awd. or just the exterior. :)

Re: Hey everyone
well the plan is to do an engine swap and exterior. My friend and his dad are mechanincs, lucky me, and have agreed to help me. but it wont be til about a year til i can really start anything as funds are tiiiight now lol. so what engine does the gt4 use? is it the same as the mr2 of the same year? lol excuse my noobness ill google it but its nice talking to people, and not a computer. And man leia (my carlol, i know lame
but i cant help it, i am in love with her ) but ya, she gave me a scare. yesterday her clutch randomly went out at aboout 7pm, conveniently after it got dark. well my friends and i tried to figure out what was wrong as there was no pressure to the pedal, and could not figure it out. one second it was fine, came back and nothing. well today we looked at it, and she needed fluid lolol man i was relieved |

Re: Hey everyone
well theres already a problem, you have a 7afe motor. and the gt4 uses a 3sgte. (and yes the mr2 has the same motor as the gt4.) heres the probem you have a A series motor where the gt4 (3sgte) has a S series motor. the problem is that the 7afe has diffrent motor mounts, so your gonna have to move a mount to get everything to line up and fit properly. if you guys dont mind moving the mount then your all set. :)
