whoa friendly crowd, cant believe i got a response (two actually)... thanks alot guys, looking forward to the many wonderful discussions we will have ahead of us :)
getting my pod filter installed this thursday, followed by a sports exhaust in 3 weeks.

my first mods, so excisted haha! where are all you guyz from neway, most likely overseas?

Glad to hear that more people are joining...I just joined and am not really sure how many people to expect visiting the site. I also didn't realize that this is mainly based in Canada...Maybe thats why people seem more open/nice/responsive.

Alright. I'm gonna throw this out there because its simply what I think, so please don't mind me at all, and do what you want, but maybe theres a reason for the thought process. Anyways, to the point --> I have been researching for quite some time as to simple mods, tips tricks, and even technical information surrounding either the chassis or the engine itself, and it seems that anyone younger then, lets say 25, puts a cold air intake (CAI) into any and all cars, including the celica. Conversely, all of the older guys, and/or, those with the most power at the wheels, simply use high flow replacement filters in the airbox that comes stock. There are reasons for this, my favorite being when people refer to CAI actually as "hot air intakes" based off of the fact that most open element air filters sit in the engine bay, where it can get quite hot, even with holes cut (or expanded really) in the wheel wells. It makes sense, at least to me, so my suggestion is to not waste money on a CAI and get a performance box filter instead.

btw, the best looking body kit I've ever seen for this car is (i think) made in AU by a company called Fibre Sports. Honestly makes it look amazing IMO.
