Hi everyone,
This is Huang from Liquid Sky. I have been working on the body of my 1992 celica gts since i bought it couple years ago. And i finally decided to drop in the wide body 2 months ago.








Things completed so far:

-custom built spoiler, made from 1/4" aluminium

-custom built wide body, combination of steel bar frames and galven sheets

-head light conversion. eye lids been replaced by PIAA Plasma Ion driving light.

-Front end LED driving lights and turn signals


7 Things to be done till finish:

-grills, meshing of opennings for all air vents.

-extention of the front wheels so they are further outwards to match the width of the new body (which i dont know how, or even possible without changing the whole front end assembly)

-The hood, sunroof, side mirrors, and spoiler will be chromed. i am still deciding on either traditional chrome, or black tinted chrome. (Liquid Sky is the logo of my chroming business.)

-7" indash double din GPS DVD will replace the stock stereo deck

-fabric section of the door panel will be replace with polished aluminium plates

-fabric seats need to get custom leather wrapped

-engine work...... i dont know much about engines. It is going to get upgraded with turbo and rebuilds. will the 3sgte engine work for a fwd? Does the engine get converted into a FWD or does the car get converted into a AWD?

Im sure these guys are going to slaughter you. but i think it looks ok, just incomplete

-you can use the 3sgte motor, it will have to be FWD, pm me if you want more info
- the LED's your using for indicators look stupid IMO. Id say convert a factory light from some other car to work, or make the leds flush so that they dont look like rivits
- You need to soften the widebody's lines. You can 100% tell its not factory cuz the lines are super sharp. the 5th gen celica has soft lines.
- change the mirrors, i think 4th gen would look better on it

OK im not sure what direction you're going or what end look you are looking for but I tried to use some of KLUE's pointers and re-rendered your car.


changed the spoiler to a Supra Style, slapped on some rims (sorry they were the only ones that were at the correct angle) opened up the front and removed your LED pin lights and made a shaded orange turn/park light where the fang use to be, removed the front carbon piece and meshed out the front and extended the light cavity then smoked it out. Re-shaped you a front lip too. (see i'm not all bad!)

I would have used fiberglass tho, tough to get smooth lines from sheet metal

Dups, thanx for all photo work. and i like the robot.
Because of the movie, i went back to school for hydraulic engineering. In a couple of year, i will let u see the real deal. But i will make my car transform into a box before any other shape -_- (an earth quake proof box)
ur version of the wide body is not bad neither. however, my intension was to destory the roundness of the 5th gen. More straight steel patching will be added to the doors, roof, hood and anywhere with the round stuff. It will end up to a complete armor patching over the flesh roundness.

Recent updates:
-dual stage paint. `血红之雾夜黑` (suppose to be blood red during day time and smoky black during the nights, but i was a little stingy on the candies during spraying... i will redo it soon to make sure it gets to black at night)
-chip led strip side marker . turn signal (first set of led i got from ebay was not what i expected. they do look like shit and thanx for reminding me)
---currently looking to solve the wheel issue. spacer..... deep dish..... money is not at my side neither :(

You know it looks a lot better with paint on it! You need to do something about the tires, thats the only thing killing you now, aside from that its looking better! (nice paint job!) do you still have plans of doing the parts in chrome? Do you have pics with the LED lights on? Oh and I already created a transformer, it transforms my money into dust... its my wallet. :(

i guess now u gotta make your wallet transform into money, and lots of it. once i finish the hood scoop, i will black chrome the hood to start.

The wheels.... big problem.... spacer of that size will kill the integrity of the front end when ur turning and stuff. Force times distance will be triple like crazy. custome deep dish will cost me, i dont know, everything that i own? and everything that i will own? maybe i will do some crazy things to the rim, like extending just the rims and cover them with sheets around. -_-

This is my first time doing dual stage paint. It came out to a 80% of what i had in mind. Total material cost me $600. I got a job coming up for electric blue with smoky black. ;)

And pretty much build the body and sprayed it in a cave too, u know .... i had one exhaust fan with three lights.

wait till it gets darker, then i take some pic of the led, if i dont forget.......

You might end up totally changing your front end to get the wheels to sit right up front and still allow you to turn your wheels. How does it drive? is it much heavier? maybe you could get a bigger engine with a wider wheel base in there since the hood and fenders are much wider now... let me see if i can fix your mesh. did you want silver mesh or black?
