'89 Jap Import Celica GT-R

Hi everyone,

Ok I have just bought a '89 Jap. Import Celica GT-R 4WS Mainly because it looked so err.. fantastic!.

It's absoloutly spotless inside and out (sort of dark-metallic grey paint), it sounds well and drives nice (nippy too).

Bearing in mind that this car has just cost me an astonishing 500 GBP (taxed and tested). What do I need to know / do now with it now ?

Dunno It says GT-R on the log book (and on the Jap. model cert.)

It's got a 2000cc 16v dohc engine,
all the wheels move when you turn with the steering. .
it says 4WS under the rev counter.
under the dash are 2 switches ,
one says REVS/2WS (plus some Jap symbols) this keeps the rear wheels straight,
the other button says SPORT (plus some Jap symbols) dunno what that does yet !!
the speedo is in KM/h ONLY,
has no reflectors on rear
has Fog lamps fitted to rear (apparently to get it UK legal as they wern't there to start with)
Nearly all writing ANYWHERE on the car (inc engine bay) is in Jap.
Badged "GT-R"

Any Ideas ?

I'll take Photos in the morning and post 'em so you can have a look !

Soon as it's light enough i'm gonna vid the rear wheels steering from lock-to-lock. just give us a mo.

btw... if you've ever seen a 4ws on a nissan 300zx .
THIS IS NOTHING LIKE IT !! Celica has 'PROPER' rear wheel steering

before I forget,
Can any one tell me how much it would cost for 1 (one) original 1990 GT-4 rim ?

I already have the other 3. When asking over here .all i get is "no mate there as rare as rocking-horse $h1t" ( which is the best answer I have got so far) or "no sorry mate but err...what do you want for the 3 you have"
