Little incident....I want to take some serious action!

So I was working last night (night shift) at Staples. It was probably around 2:30/3:00am when I was just walking by the main entrance door and I suddenly notice a cruiser with the left side (white) light on the cherry turned on.
The light was in the direction of the only two cars (my coworker's and mine) parked in the HUGE parking lot. I stopped and started to look out of the bay doors. By this time my co-worker was also standing beside me.
At Staples the way the night shift works is that we are locked inside the store so we cannot open the doors without first calling the manager. (obviously except for fire and medical emergencies).
Anywayz, because of the light reflection on the glass and stuff we can't really see out clearly. But suddenly we see an officer with a torch light. We watch the officer looking inside the cars. Suddenly he notices that somebody is watching him from inside the store. So he walks towards the Staples doors. He asks us whose cars were they. To which we tell him that one was my co-worker's and one was mine. Then he says whose car is the blue one?.....I say its mine. Then he tells us to open the doors. My co-worker/supervisor tells him that we can't and we're not allowed to.
So then the officer says, your plates are not registered to the car. I'm like wtf. I tell him what is he talking about cuz I just got my stickers re-newed in Feb and that there haven't been any problems with my plates ever.
So the officer says again that your plates are not registered in the ministry so I'll have to tow your car.
The Staples doors were still locked and we were talking to the officer from inside the store. The officer says that I cannot talk to you like this and that we should open the doors or he's going to tow the car anywayz. So I tell my co-worker to call the manager ASAP and tell him that I was going to open the doors. So she goes to call the manager. No body answers the phone.
By this time the officer goes back to his cruiser and brings it up closer beside the main entrance doors and then comes and stands infront of the doors again. When my co-worker returns and tells me that nobody answered the phone, the officer says oh don't worry about it. I'm like what do you mean. Whats wrong? Tell me if something is wrong. The officer says your plates are fine its just my computer. And then he walks away.

Now when I get out of Staples in the morning, I just walk around the car to see if everything is okay and I notice that my front license plate is bent 90 degrees from one side to the first screw.

My biggest mistake was that I couldn't get his badge number or the cruiser number.
When I fnished work, I went straight to 11 division(erin mills and dundas) to see if I could get a list of officers working at night but they said that they don't do that (privacy crap) cuz of all the identity thefts happening and ****. So I tell the guy......do you really think that I'll come here, to a freakin police station to steal somebody's identity.
He gave me the name and number of the officer incharge of the night shift so I'll go there again tonight to talk about this.

I'm really furious......and I want to take some serious action....if any can be taken.
What are my options?
Please advise ASAP!!!!

Yeah sure with a fake cruiser and fake uniform. If a cop wanted to piss you off he would of dented your car or smashed your tails. Maybe it was like that before and you only noticed it now?

I say jsut leave it alone no real harm was done next thing you be starting shit that you really dont want to and then get your car black listed by the cops and get pulled over for every little thing.

He did bend the plates.
I think for some reason he was probably checking whethere there was something behind the plates.
This is like me coming to one of your cars and keying it or scratching it up or for that matter bending your license plate.
Wouldn't you do something about it?
To me, I see this as vandalism!

Unfortunalty they have the ability to make your life a lot more difficult

Don't listen do these guys! Stand up for your rights and take this up with them.

I had a off duty cop follow me into my under garage (without indentifying himself) and block me into my space and harass me. I'm in the process of taking his ass to the cleaners. Thankfully I have a friend who happens to be a criminal lawyer and hates cops; he's taking it pro-bono. This 20 something year old cop messed around with the wrong dude.

I have yet to get pulled over by any cop since or get harassed by him or other cops at all. Don't let them bully you around!!

go to the library look at some law books, call a lawyer.....and see if its worth it.....
file a complaint and check any security footage from the store......for evidence..and tell ur co-worker to have a statment or back u up

any cameras at that place maybe? and cops dont go bending plates. You will get yourself into so much hassle, what if he didnt? do you want a 2 year lawsuit? they do have good lawyers you know.

^THANK YOU!....exactly my point.......people keep getting bullied by them and don't do anything about it.
I'm gonna check with the property management for cameras in the parking lot and shit.
I won't let this go that easy.
I don't know whats wrong with some people here.
