So I installed my subs last night
And I have to say the deck must be alot better than any other one I owned because the sound coming out fo these guys is crazy. I decided to keep em because I wasnt gonna get the kind of money I wanted for them and It was a good decision. Ill get some pics posted when I get home. They are 2 12 inch Xplod subs (the circular ones, not the hexagons) power by an mono infinity amp ( I know I should match but I dont like sony amps that much ). I have a capacitor that im not using if anyone wants to get one.

I have it in a simple black box, no ports.
yup the blue wire was where u said...good thing, I didnt feel like taking the deck out to do this. The install took me 15 mins.

Subs makes a big difference, in a sound system.

yeah 1F capacitor. ts Bassworx and it was honeslty used for 3 weeks before I sold the EL (or traded). Umm i can get u an internet picture but the thing is in mint condition and has a nice LCD display. I just dont have any room in the trunk for it anymore (or anywhere practical).

good choice with the infinity amp or sony
I don't trust many audio products that I can buy at canadian tire or walmart.

well these subs are about 6 years old now and so was the 4 channel sony amp I sold to Pineapple like a year ago now. They work great and I got nothing against them, I just prefer the infinity amp.

yeah i had thta in the seventh gen also....but in the 5th gen for some reason it doesnt....dunno why maybe the acoustics of the car are better?

my 4 yr ol ($700 retail) sony deck has served very well. Seems they have lower standards since they made a big move in CT (same with kenwood at walmart). Their high end stuff is still alrite.
my spoiler and trunk rattle some (of course I only have a low power small single 10"), luckily my lic plate isn't on the trunk lid. I hate my system it's way too small, but I don't have room or money for anything better...can't wait to have the celi done enough for a system...I'll take a single 15" thank you very much...and enough dynamat to keep everything nice and rattle free. build quality, my ol golf never rattled either...for the 1st 6 months anyway
