91 mr2 non-turbo swapped

right now im haveing problems with the ECU and am also getting a [CEL] Check engine light and am wondering if it matters if the ECU is JDM will the code readers still read them?
somethings probably not done right

Bridge the terminals TE1 & E1 in your diagnostic box to find out what the cel code is?

Check your cel code to find out where your problem is, when you've found you your cel error code compare it to the following chart

know of a site with mr2 service manual?
also its a N/A with a jdm 3sgte swap so where can i get that
and also wouldnt it be easier to just use a code reader
and are all these things the same for the JDM ecu?

also i remember that flash system my friends honda's do that also

No your 3sgte is an obd1 so there is no connecter like your friends honda. The service manual you can find by using the search button, but you still need to know that any car with the 3sgte is gonna have the same information. You now have a turbo mr2 so you only need to be looking at an turbo mr2 manual.
