Instrument Panel

I've got a 2000 Celica GT. The only thing on my instrument panel lighting up is the orange dials that tells you exactly the speed and rpm's you are going. Is this normal or should all the numbers on the speedometer light up with some back light? Does anyone have a picture of a normal cockpit at night so i can see? Thanks

The guy i bought it from put an APC kit on it...it is supposed to be able to switch from blue to green and there is a knob to adjust the intensity. Does anyone else have this kit? I want to take it off but don't know how it was installed in the first place.

damn ya get rid of that crap and if u want a different colour switch out the LEDS. i know someone who sells them cheap.

isnt it the gauge itself that changes colour, so just remove that by unscrewing the 4 screws holdin the cluster inplace

*does the amber light up if u turn the "Dimmer" knob to the left of the steering wheel???

no the switch thing that changes intensity and switches from blue to green doesn't work at all. I wouldn't mind slapping some LED bulbs in there. I like amber or blue. Can you help me get some from your friend?

ya whats ur car colour??? heres how it works though

there are 23 little LEDs in your cluster and they are each about the size of a small birth control pill. what u do is u take a soldering gun and u h eat the little pads of solder that they are sitting on and u melt them and remove old LED , then take new LED and heat the pad again and plac enew LED on it

yellow cirlces are the ones that will need to be changed to get full colour scheme

its pretty easy , even if u have a friend who has soldered before

if i was closer id do it for ya

check with some people down there im sure someone has done the conversion

just let me know when u want them, Blue would look best on a silver celica

just u may need to swap out ur gauge face, since the amber and blue may not mix well

Mr brix is that a stock face??

Which wires did you connect to the instrument panel? I connected two large bundles of wires and then there was a small (20guage maybe) white wire hanging unconnected. Do you have a white wire with yours or just the two large connectors?

How did yall get the box with mileage and fuel to change to blue too. Does the guage go over that too?

i think that's the problem...came with the stupid gauge. As soon as I can find a stock gauge I'll be done with this crap. I checked the led's and they were all fine. thanks for the help guys
