platinum 4's are garbage. your engine deserves good plugs.

nothing conducts better than copper. platinum and iridium have more longevity than coppers, which makes them appealing to the average joe who neglects his cars maintenance like a red-headed stepchild. thats mainly why they cost more. coppers you'll have to change more often, like every other oil change (10k), but with a 4-banger, what's that cost, like $14? do the right thing.

it's actually it's been proven now that turbo cars performing better with the newest iridium from Denso which is why the Suburu Rally team switched to DENSO from NGK. The coppers will last slightly longer but you will get a more defined spark from the new Iridiums. I think the tip point is 0.04 and NGK's is 0.06.

Now that's something new. So they make the tip bigger then old iridium?
Most of the probelm is not conductivity, its the small tip causing pre-ignition and even melt itself. Also copper remove the heat faster to keep the tip cooler. With the right heat range, iridium could work.

the tip is still .4 (which is the smallest on the market and best proven for all applications) however, as you said with the the smaller tip can cause pre-ignition. *Denso created a line of Tuner plugs that are Iridium Alloys that range in heat conductivity. *So say for every 75 to 100 hp you add to your engine, you may go to the next colder step. DENSO heat ranges move up as they get colder; 16 would be our hottest Iridium Power plug, 34 would be the coldest (ranges; 16,20,22,24,27,31,34). *As well, the Denso plug has a tapered cut.

It is a patented design, but don't get me wrong NGK plugs are amazing as well. *In fact we share technologies and have a 50% sharing margin with NGK for every manufacture that uses them. *Hense why you will find 50% of all Corollas, Matrix, Celica, Camrys etc have either/or as OEM. *Sort of an insider partnership.

bah I have nothing to do with the sale of our plugs...I honestly could care less lol. It is such a insignificant portion of our total sales.

So how would the Bosch Platnium +2's rank. For an I-6. I heard the +4's are garbage. I ran the +2's in my celica, and now wondering if +2's would be good for a BMW. Can anyone shine some light on this topic?
