electrical prob with 92 celica
hey guys! just had a question, hope someone can help me out..
what is the purpose of the wiring thats connected from the top of my alternator to my engine?? what happened was, when I had the alternator replaced, the garage guy didnt tighten the nut that connected the Lead of the wire to the alternator properly. So what happened was the bolt overheated, burnt off the rubber casing. I tried to tighten it after discovering what happened, but the bolt head crumbled and there is nothing holding the wiring lead in place. Also, I noticed a chunk of the wire missing(which is what im guessing that lead to overheating). is there a way I can replace the wire and put a new bolt in? if so..what kinda bolt? OR is it safe for me to drive it to my garage to get it fixed. Please advise, Thanks..i appreciate it |
