XM Radio

Ok, I got an XM radio for my birthday and now am wanting to install it- I've installed a cd player before, but not in my celica- I had it done because of time constraints...... I need to know if anyone has done their own install of a cd player or anything that would require access to the inside of the dash... I already know the the shifter will have to be disassembled to get to it, but I need to know what else I need to take off and how. If anyone knows anything, please let me know- if it's too complicated, I'll save up the money and take it in...but I would really like to do it myself. Thanks.

Ok, let me rephrase my question........I need to know how to get the dash apart to access the cd player.....the xm part doesn't matter- I just need to know how to get inside the dash.. I don't have an owner's manual or fix-it guide so I don't know how to get in there.

just pull the shifter portion up and it will slide out. but theboot will still be attached. From there you will see two screws attaching the a/c controls..unscrew them and the rest all comes apart. Very easy

^thanks- I talked to my installer today and he said it was super simple but yet, couldn't explain to me how to do it- thanks for the help, I will let you know if it works.

XM radio won't work in canada unless you have a US address for your billing address. You can fake it and it will work then.

Why is it that you guys don't have it in Canada? I got mine installed and it finally started working this morning- so far I like it- it's been a nice change from flipping through stations only to hear commercials more than actual music.

it's just a matter of time before providers start offering it...alot of new cars come with it here so (like my G35) so obviously some company will finally start it up

Freekin hell, just make up a US address, XM radio doesnt care about the address. Select the online billing statement, and then as long as your credit card goes thru, your golden.

We have XM coverage in places as far north as Muskoka im told.
