original alum. wheels are full of corrosion

you know the greenish white corrosion found on a batterie terminal,well I got some all over the inside of my celica wheel.
Any tips on cleaning??

1.Wet Wheel
2.Spray Wheel with Rim cleaner
3.Let soak for 3-5 mins
4.Take a scrub brush or tooth brush, and scrub away
5.Rinse rims
6.Use clean cloth to dry rim.
Repeat steps 2-4 if needed

Meguires Hot Wheels(pink bottle) works pretty good, there are a couple other good products on the market too. If you have a hook up to a dealership, get the stuff they use. I use to work at Ford, the detailers had this stuff that worked amazing. You gotta mix it with water cause its so strong.

that would work too, then wash them as mentioned above.
