Celica lacking suspension travel?

First off i'm a newbie to the celica. My girlfriend has a 03 that she wants lowered. so here i am doin my homework before i piss money away. I drive a 96 nissan 200sx se-r which seriously lacks suspension travel. The only way to lower my car more than one inch is to get coilovers, or get koni inserts and modify them so they are shorter than stock....or els with stock length shocks i would literally ride on the bump stops. IMO, eibach, intrax, dropzone, and all that other crap you can find on ebay is junk because they dont research to find what works best, they just make a shorter spring with a higher rate that fits the car. for example, Hyperco makes springs for my car that lowers 1.2 inches, and works on stock length struts, and will never bottom out due to the progressive rate which every other spring does like eibach pros which lower it the same amount. So my question, is the celica lacking suspension travel, or is it blessed? Is there any company that did the research to make a spring that has proper rates front and rear, and is progressive to keep the car off the bump stops?

paragraphs are your friend.

i couldn't really find a question in there but the 7th gen can be lowered up to 2.5" safely without negatively affecting the suspension.

bump stops should NEVER be cut on a 7th gen.

i found that 1.5-1.75" drop is PERFECT.
