why would you bother buying it?

I was told the cai was a real bitch to install, and I'm not too concerned about the minimal hp gains in the short ram intake

I've got a short-ram Injen intake on my 2000 GT and I love it, perfect fit and sounds great!
My boyfriend owns an import accessory shop in VA and he can get you one for $190 (shipping included)

Got the RMM intake on mine the filter is much larger K&n than the Injen + you get the added bonus of that heat shield which tries to reduce some of the heat soak. Hopefully changing later for CAI for better performance. If you get the Injen you could also purchase the RMM heat shield seperatly.
