Mystery Problem 5sfe - 3sgte swap.
Information on swap: 92 MR2 NA converted to Turbo. 5sfe to a 3rd Gen 3sgte complete swap (cut body harness). Wired 3sgte Engine harness into NA body harness.
Situation: MAP Sensor is not being recognized by ECU. MAP Sensor is getting the right amount of voltage. What has been done: Replaced MAP Sensor, ECU, and rewired MAP Sensor directly to ECU. ECU still pretends that it's not there. Any other motor issue?: Motor runs, no smoke, no leaks. Only trouble with idle, wanting to die, and idles a bit high. No drive test as been done due to the MAP Sensor issue. Any ideas or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Happy Holidays and New Years!!! -Chris |

Which ECU are you using? If I'm correct your method of wiring the 3rd gen into your NA wire harness won't work. The ECU pin outs on a 3rd gen 3S-GTE is different from a 92 NA MR2.

The stock 3sgte ecu that came with the complete swap (cut body harness). You could be right but there has been people who clam to have wired a NA body harness to a Turbo ecu and setup, but won't tell how. They do have different pin outs and everything was rewired to work. Something must of been different about the pin for the MAP. So, I ended up buying a turbo body harness and thats being wired up now. This should fix any wire issues.
