Help me decide...

I'm looking to get rims for the S and I'm down to these 3 choices..

16" Work Equip - 3 piece forged rims. Lighter than stock 16's. But it's still 16". Center piece will be black though.

2nd choice is 17" Work VS-TX - 3 piece Cast rims. These rims weigh quite a bit but they are a bit bigger. That's the only advantage. Again, center piece will be black.

3rd choice is 16" Spoon SW388 - 1 piece forged rims. They are only about 8-9lbs. a piece.

The spoons look nice, but I'd go with the Equip's

Re: Help me decide...

no question, Work VS-TX. The Spoons are okay if you're taking the car in that whole race-look direction, or if you're actually going to be racing it to take full advantage of their light weight. plus they're 17", so it's gonna be more visually appealing in general.

what i wanna know is... what are the widths for the Work wheels. you know it's all about deep dish baby.

Re: Help me decide...

i might be mistaken, but i think that "work" wheels were banned at the track because the centersections were separating form the rest of the rim

Re: Help me decide...

equip's are F: 16x7 R: 16x8 and for the VSTX F: 17x7 R: 17x8.5

Offsets for the rims are also quite high so the dish aren't more than 3" at the back.
