To Part Out or To Sell.... That is the question

As some of you may know, I am the owner of a 93 Golf, this thing will not safety by any means (floor is pretty far gone). I am running short on money and require some to help pay bills and such.

The Golf has been sitting in my garage since September, I was going to fix the engine problem (it blew a gasket on the 401), and then try to sell it as is. However I've not only been lazy, but I've been very lazy. I've come to the realization that I will not be fixing the engine, because I am, lazy, so now to get rid of the car.

I'd appreciate a comment as well as a vote, because I'm not sure which would be the most economical, I do realize however, that a part out will take a lot of TIME, but as the car has sat since September, time is something thats not an issue really.

i dunno man.. it would depend for me. Are their alot of people looking for the parts that are in good shape on your car. I parted numerous cars and did make a profit but it took alot of time and effort.
I'd try and sell it as a parts car personally and save any head aches

if you're too lazy to replace a gasket, what makes you think a part-out will be somehow easier?

It is much easier to sell the car as a whole!

yes sell it as a whole, and how much would you be looking to get, I have a couple vdub friends that may be interested.

because ratko, replacing gasket doesn't get the car back on the road

its got a whole slew of issues

its going to take up the space either way
so if its 100% there or 95% there, doesn't matter to me
