so a guy i know ordered a short shifter off ebay for his car.

the shifter alone was $15+10 shipping
or
you could get the shifter, a knob and a leather shift boot for $25+10 shipping

so i offered him something in trade for the knob and boot that was worth more than $10 bucks and he accepted,
i didn't really want the shift boot (red stitched black leather) but i figured where is the harm in having spare parts
now i think the knob might look ok in the del sol.
the current knob i have in the car is a stock knob that has been modified to be much lower than stock.
the stock knob had 2 cm's cut off the bottom of it, then it was drilled out and tapped for the B7M race shifter i am using
it's hight would be approximately the same if not lower than the type r style knob

Put it on, although I like the titanium look of the S2k one. Not a huge fan of chrome looking knobs.

i have frankies old S2000 knob on my civic. it gets extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. but it looks good.

along with the hot and cold thing, just make sure if your ever doing the nasty in your car, you dont touch it cause it will burn or be super cold.

i took it for a test drive tonight, went to etobicoke (across the street from your place dave i like the vvti sticker btw. very stock while not being stock.) i loved the knob durring the day today but it wasn't a hot day at all and then on the way home it was cold and i didn't like it being so cold. it felt very comfy in my hand but i'm still leaning towards stock...

i'll take pics tomorrow, and for those of you wondering, big turbos in small cars...awesome

i've won the battle but not the war....

dyno and stage 3 clutch are next on the to do list but as she's running now i'm VERY happy.
