gauge install location
ok so i drive a delsol and i have 3 gauges to install...
the options are simple gauges go -in the glove box -mounted in the dash (like frankie had his S) -up the pillar (i'm not a fan of this option) -dash mounted gauge pod i'm am leaning towards the glove box or sunk in the dash... i can't decide where they should go but i really like this what do you guys think i should do?

Re: gauge install location
Glove box for sure is the way to go, clean look.
Sunken in the dash looks great when done right. I've seen many hack jobs that look like ass. I just like the option of being able to have them out of sight when need be(when getting pulled over). |

Re: gauge install location
Gonna say on the dash like in that pic, but further back and moulded, so it looks stock, kinda shell swept if that makes sense.
Love how they had used a long exposure time to caputure that light sweep of the flip out screen.

Re: gauge install location
if you sink them into the dash nicely that would look awesome.
If not just put em in the glove box. DO NOT PUT THEM ON THE PILLAR

Re: gauge install location
yeah the pillar is the most bolt on way to do it but it's also the most heat and we all know how much the cops like me already..

Re: gauge install location
Pillars are simplest way to go for sure. But if you go that route I will be disapointed

Re: gauge install location
im cool with pillars, but if you say its not an option, then dashtop. only problem is the permanent damage to the dash.

Re: gauge install location
i could care less about the dash, once i have em in the gauges would only be removed to replace them with something tinted but they are all universal size.
the pillar thing is sooooooo tempting based on the ease of install and stuff but i really cant see it being the right answer.... i have another idea.... same pods as pictured above... mounted upside down above the rear view

Re: gauge install location
remove the center vent, make yourself a plate and put them there. try to keep all your guages as close together as possible. I hate turning my head to look at a reading. Its not like you drive it in the winter.. Or do you?
That, below your radio or where he has his fuel management remote in your first picture. one over eachothers would look nice.
