XM radio ???

Hello,

Does anyone out there have xm radio? I was thinking of trying it out and wanted to know if anyone had any pros/cons of getting it.

I don't have XM but a friend does have Cirrus (another Satellite radio) and he loves it. He has it at home and in his wife's car.

I don't know what the monthly fees but I will ask him next week when I see him. And yes, it is available in Canada. I believe he might have gotten it through Honda or something, but I will find out though.

Grant: I'm sorry, but I was wrong...My friend actually got it from the US since his sis-in-law lives in Sault Ste. Marie. I was mistaken. Sory about that.

Just drive over the boarder, and pick one up at walmart, it retails $79us(Delpi), + $29us for the cradle to mount it in the car. I might go back and pick up one for my celi if I don't find a music keg for a good price.

you need to have a US address to set up sirrus. So that they can bill to that address...Im getting mine set up next month.

The problem with XM and Cirrus is that you need a US Mailing address before they will hook you up with the service. :(

they wont send to a PO box and yes that's what most people do if they know someobody in the states

Do you know if there is any coverage in northern Ontario? I know it's satellite based but would you not expect some signal loss if it is not meant for us northerners.

dont know about Northern Ontario but Southern Ontario the signal is flawless. Since it's sat. it will probably be fine there as well.
