Recommend a budget alarm?
Looking for a basic alarm that would give me keyless entry and an immobilizer. Not looking to go all out with a compustar or something. Just a little peace of mind and the insurance break since I rarely travel downtown or to college campuses and such anymore.
Though I would like to add power windows capability. I understand that there's an alarm module that does that. How does that work and how costly is it? |

I had a compustar and loved it. But the sensor was too sensitive and the alarm went too often.
If you're looking for something basic, I recommend Alpine. It's reliable overall. I recommend that you layer your security, ie fuel cut off, back up batt, upgrade the hood cable, the club etc.... Immobilizers I believe use computer chips in the key/starter therfore it's going to be expensive. Anyway good luck |
