If the other car was a Toyota Celica, then yes - otherwise, I'd say that such a modification would be difficult and potentially dangerous :)

The operation of this system is a bit crude compared with the motorised steering column of some luxury cars... but I agree, it's useful when the steering wheel is set to minimum height (as I like it).
