I have an 03 GT with the optional JBL stereo package. Here's the dumb question: Is this a 6 speaker system or an 8 speaker system?

Some idiot decided to "upgrade" the OEM JBL head unit to an aftermarket headunit. He never did make it work but in his quest he cut the factory harness plugs out of the car. As I am searching for a new OEM head unit and the plugs I need to restore the car to its factory condition I keep being asked if its the 6 speaker or 8 speaker stereo. It makes sense to me that it would be the 8 speaker version but I can only see 6 speakers. Can somebody share some wisdom with me?
