OEM rods are known to have a weak point at 8500 & also prone to stress related warping, came across some figures on another website a few weeks ago:

RPM . . Force (Tonnes) on Rod
1000 - 0.08
4000 - 1.33
6000 - 2.98
7200 - 4.30
8000 - 5.30
8200 - 5.57

(These figures are for the stock OEM 3S-GTE rods.) 5.3 tonnes on a stock rod *

In the UK a lot of people are going with the stock rods in their winter re-builds, so time will tell if this is a good route to take or not, I'm thinking on installing HKS rods (22mm gudgen) on mine but the TTE items are very tempting & could sway me * *

Your friend must have raised the pressure on the fuel lines, I suppose its one method or route to go down, check out this link for fuel pump info http://www.wolfkatz.com/DreamweaverD... 20Report.pdf & see what you think.

How are you going to control the injectors if you are planning on doing the ECU at a later date??

Who did you get your Koyo off?? I’m having problems finding one for a decent price over here * *
