More power on the way.....

Next Tuesday is the start of some serious mods for the 4. Engine and box are being pulled out in readiness for the next step...

Bench flowed cylinder head with HKS 264 cams, adjustable cam wheels and uprated valve springs. Will also look at the inlet manifold when it's off to see if the flow can be imprioved. Block to have oilways cleaned up (rough castings as standard) to improve flow and will be reassembled with fully balanced crank, TRD shells, OE rods and ACL pistons (0.5 oversized). That will be coupled to a lightweight flywheel and uprated clutch. This will allow the rev limit to be increased to at least 8000rpm.
Will also be fitting some GReddy 750cc top feed injectors too and a much bigger Koyo aluminium rad. Once this is all put together, boost will be turned back down and the engine will be given time to run in properly. Will also give me chance to sort out a decent intake system using an A'Pexi filter and custom made carbon fibre cold air box.
Then, once I get back from Europe, I can look at a tubular exhaust manifold, BB turbo (probably a GT30) and an A'Pexi ECU. As for power, no idea what to expect until it's been on the dyno, but see no reason why an 11.xx sec 1/4 mile shouldn't be possible * *
