If you get a Euro/Australian spec engine you will have EGR, this is not provided on the 140 so you will either have to block the EGR ports off or get all the ancilliaries (pain in the ass). I blocked mine off by weldingthe end of the outlet pipe up, its way easier. Alternatively get the JDM engine and ECU, this gives the extra bonus of being able to decat as there is no post cat O2 probe.
There are some wiring changes/additions to be made. You wont have the oil pressure switch cabling or the VVL solenoid control cables, you can add these easily. You will need to switch a couple of wires on the TPS as the wiper is different. Off the top of my head thats about it.
Make sure you get the keys to go with the ECU, they are programmed to match and i doubt its cheap to get them synched, i could be wrong as I never tried, always used the PFC so stock immobiliser went in the bin.
Do not try to use an engine from a post 2003 car as they use a lot of dfferent shit, like fly by wire throttle, which will stick a large spaniel right in the doings.
When you buy the engine, get it complete, by that I mean with manifolds intake and exhaust), injectors and rail, throttle body etc etc. You will NOT be using bits off your 140 engine.
You will also find your dash is not a lot of use, the tacho range is right out and you will be going a wee bit quicker so the speedo is no good.
