$5000 is a good estimate to have it done at a shop. Lets say you start with a clip for about $2200 which is a good price. You need to add at least $800 for an exaust putting you at $3000 then you add labour and the misc stuff and your damb close to $5000.

If your doing it yourself $3500 is about right. $2200 for clip $800 exaust and $500 for the bullshit. I believe Tyrone did his swap for right around $3500 (himself) same goes for Andrew (boosted_GT)
Mine is looking like its closer to $4000..... $650 for the motor $1800 for the rebuild $800 for exaust $400 for IC and piping and another couple of hundred at canadian tire on brake cleaner and paint 'n shit
