buy a new car if you want the kind of power you are looking for. It would be ridiculous to put a 6 in the celica.

good luck trying to control a modded V6 in a fwd 2400 lb car. Say good bye to your daily driver.

If you think it's ridiculous to spend $10000 on a turbo kit that produces 100 extra hp, try getting a few estimates on how much it would cost in fabrication to fit a v6 into a celica. Now that would be rediculous!! You would basically working with the shell of a celica...everything would have to be changed. For that type of work you might aswell go out and buy something that is rwd and fast right out of the box.

You could swap in the 2ZZGE, or you could turbo your 1ZZ. I don't really see why it should cost 10 Gs...

everyones so damned uninformed, your dont need a 6 cylinder engine to make 6 cylinder power...Example:3sgte produces 255 and its an iron block which means you can put whatever you want through it
it is used in the gt300 circuits and many supras use them instead of 2jz for circuit(power/weight ratio) you can find them with ecu, wiring harness, tranny for 1000 to 1400 on the net www.totaljdm.com

i know of quite a few people with 2000+ gt whove done the swap
and one of em has 540 whp right now

you can get a trd supercharger for 1699 but talk to the guy and get just the supercharger for 1300 because you want just the supercharger and take it to a shop and make em fit it on your celica

his name is eddie http://www.kinderhooktoyota.com/trd.htm

the supercharger is normally like 2400 but its on sale there

and you could sleeve your engine and turbo it
there are so many options its rediculous
im never gettin a different car
celica for life!
yay! im gettin 10 thousand check from ups workers comp case!
guess where its all goin?!

I hate you.

You go out and buy a new car thats at least 30 grand just to get 100 more hp.

Most turbos are at most 2-5 grand and you can tune it to whatever hp u want as long as your engines built up.

There are so many little and big ways to harness power use your brain cells.

Your attitude is so unpractical.

your forgetting that the TRD supercharger was tested by road and track......and they said with all the mods the car had, it wasnt worth it, it had no significant gains in performance

as weekend a weekend racer/track car... sure build up the engine boost it... race it

but as a daily driver why compromise the reliability for a few stop light races/highway pulls... imo just a bunch of headaches waiting to happen. not to mention $$$
