Heater Core issue?

Hey Guys, Something really messed up happened to my 02 Celica GT. It was time to do some mainenance and got the plugs changed, rad flushed and oil change. Dude took care of all that and drove home and it was perfect. Later that night, I get in the car and needed some heat and the heater was blowing cold air. Made sure the AC was off too (just incase I wasnt being a good). I drove it around for 10 minutes and the temp guage said it was warm and usually at that point, hot air comes out but not this time.

I go home from where I was at and after being on the highway for about 10 minutes, heater was blowing hot air again.

Im assuming highway is gonna generate more heat but not sure why I had cold air before. Im gonna go test it out again to see if I still get cold air after driving 10 minutes but does anyone have any ideas as to why this could happen? Mechanic mess up or just me?

Thanks guys.

you could have a partial plugged heater core, or your coolant control valve for the heater core could be slipping out of position.

Don't wory bud. When your mechanic changed the coolent he probably didn't wait until all the air came out when he was puting the coolent back in.
So the air was traped in the heater core.
Just check your coolent level now

mine did the same problem too, the way to fix it is to make sure the fluid flows all around..try the radiator fluid refill process

if u dont its bad on ur engine as you will notice that the radiator fan jumps on more often, and u will hear a slight running water at a stop

Thanks Guys...gotta take the car back into the garage. The guys who did it, didnt bleed the rad properly and now i hear bubbles in the dash when I accelerate in first (or rev the engine for that matter).
