Suspension???

Hey guys.. It's been a while since I last posted on this forum. Just busy with school and all. I had a question. I was thinking of getting a full coil over system for my 03 GTS and I just wanted some suggestions from you guys on what are some nice kits out there. The one that I come across time and time again is the Tein SS with pillowball. Any others???

Jay

Not sure where you live but if it's anywhere that they use salt in the winter I would advise against getting coilovers. Tein is good...but I personally like a seperate spring/shock combo aswell.

I live in Southern Ontario. If i'm at home, I'm in Windsor, if I'm away at school, I'm in London. I need something that allows me to adjust the height so I can slam it down in the summer and raise it back up in the winter. And salt will be an issue...

With spring/strut combo, what are some good ones?

Depends how low you wanna go. If you wanna get as low as you can without going too crazy, get the Eibach Sportlines. If you wanna be more conservative, get the Eibach Prokit. As for shocks, the best are Koni Yellows, 2nd best are Tokico Illuminas, and 3rd best would be KYB AGXs. Konis are the most expensive, tokico's are in the middle, and KYBs would be the cheapest. These are all adjustable shocks/struts.

Ya I've seen the knoi yellow's with Eibach's dozens of times on celi's. My only question is why not opt to go for a coilover system instead of strut/spring combo? I'll be starting autoX this summer and I've got a good price on the Tein SS with Pillowball mounts ~$1560 CAD with taxes so I'll most likey go with the Teins.

I know that some of the Tein models have teflon-coated threads on the adjustment collars. If thats the case, then you shouldnt have any worries with winters as long as you wash it regularly. But yeah, a coilover system would be ideal for handling, especially autocross.
