if you want a manual tranny, buy a manual tranny to start with
gt has the 1zz engine, which is better to be turbo'd as opposed to supercharged. And yes it will work properly with an auto. look in the 7th gen reference section at the top of the 7th gen forum. it has some info on turbocharging the GT/1zz

why don't you just sell your GT and buy a GT-S? be cheaper in the long run and will give you some extra power that you're looking for

hassturbo.com has a turbo kit for the GT for around 3600$ US and it's pretty good other then the plastic blow off valve, but that can be swapped out while doing the install. Am getting a custom kit done for my GT, it's around 5000$ Can. it's almost the same as the Hass kit but with a few differences.

I'll re-iterate, with an added explaination Quote:
I've talked to many people who have tried to do auto to manual swaps on a couple different cars and they all have the same thing to say..."If you want a manual tranny, buy a car with a manual tranny" A swap is usually much more work and hassle than what it is worth. I can only imagine it'd be the same deal on a 7th gen celi. I haven't actually heard of anyone attempting it on a 7th gen. Just keep the auto, save up (unless you have cash), sell your GT and buy a manual GT or GT-S. If you don't mind driving an auto all the time, then just keep your car. I will never recommend tranny changeover...and even strongly discourage it!

I know a guy who swaps that shit out in less than a day...he did it on many civics/ELs...Its all do able. Mike will do it for 250 he said I believe (dont quote me on it).

I never said it's not do able...and some vehicles are a lot easier than others...u use civic as an example - hm...from what I heard they are pretty easy to work on, especially the older ones. I can't imagine it being as easy in a 7th gen as an older civic...
I also said a swap is USUALLY more work and hassle. You have your educated suggestion, I have mine. I still won't recommend it, and I still advice against it. and I still believe if you want a manual tranny, just buy a car with a manual tranny.
