Must read if you have oil probs

i had a previous thread before about loss of oil and i went to toyota and they started a record on how much oil i was losing per 1000km and it was 1l the first time and 1.3l the second time so under warranty they are swapping out the short block,
the 1zz block are supposedly know for this oil problem, but at higher mileage mine is only at 77000km

i suggest looking into it if you are losing oil

this is soo common. My GT had this problem too. I've even heard some GT-S's have it as well, although my 03 did not

well they will replace under warranty, you would htink by now they would realize the 1zz has problems and not act so surprised when people tell them about it

5 year not sure of the mileage maybe 100k or 80 k

non staggered piston rings = oil burnt in the combustion chamber and the blocks were modified for 03 and up to prevent this prob or help it a lil

ic ic so none of the internals need to be swapped out really?

SO far i dont have this problem... i'm at 110,000KM and its been a smoth ride all the way up here.....
