Wink Great Cars

A kind hello to all. Going on my 6th year with my 2000 GT. Have done exhaust, intake, TRD shortshifter, Hotchkis TVS with Tokico's. The car is a commuter for me, and has been nothing but absolutely dependable and an absolute blast to drive. I still love the look of the car, and truly see nothing out there that could replace it. The hatchback makes it far more useable than most people would believe. Over 130k, just feels broken in. I love it more than when I got it, and hope and believe I can get another 6 years without issue. Cheers to all of us with the good taste to have gotten one. :-) Dave.

My 2002 GT has 170,000kms on it and still feels brand new. It's taken me all over north america. Owning it since new I can say there's nothing like looking at your car that's 4 or 5 years old and still feeling the same pride of ownership as you did the day you bought it.

Still looks good after a few years.

If you buy a used 7th gen, just maintain it, take care of your Celica and it will take care of you.

I don't plan on selling my Celica for many many years.

Congrats that the cars are treating you well. By the time I sold my 00 GT and my 03 GT-S I was happy that they were gone (moreso the 2000). I found it to be riddled with issues. Although it was the first model year of production but still never found it to be up to regular Toyota quality

Amdz, thanks for the reply. I was beginning to think no one on this board had positive thoughts about their Celi. Burr, sorry for the problems you had. Most of the kind people I have met with Celi's have had great luck. Engine wise they don't really mod very well, but handling wise, they will make your ear drums burst on cornering and your eyes bleed on braking. Though it sounds bad, it's really all good! :-) Cheers!
