antenna problems

i'm probably just gonna change it out for an s2000 one, but its acting weird right now, so im just wondering, thats all.

when i brake kinda hard, the antenna goes all the way down, then goes all the way up, as if i turned off the radio then turned it back on. it only does this under hard braking, no other time(except when i turn it off). Not even when turning hard, or accelerating hard. WTF is wrong? oh and when it goes down, the radio still stays on.

Sounds like you have some f*cked up wiring. Just switch to the S2K antenna and get rid of the lightening rod anyway.

yea, its a power antenna, it retracts completely, then goes back up. its really annoying because it makes stupid noises and the fact that its just being stupid.

k prob a grounding issue. check the wires r crossed with the brake lights.

If u r gonna put a s2000 antenna u have to remove the motor and the base of the auto antenna and put a standard antenna base. A lot of work IMO!

Power antenna's are awesome...I wish mine worked, becuz then it would always be retracted because they should only go up when the radio is turned on...of course if you listen to alot of radio then I can see how you wouldn't like it
