dealer charges
does anyone know how much the dealer would charge to find out why my engine light came on? I was Driving today and it came on. I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow, and I am curious what they would charge to read the code and tell me whats wrong.
Thanks |

prolly charge you an hour labour or so just to check the code and let you know what it means. Toyota dealers know how to rape ya good ;)

what year is your car? Checking the code in Toronto area is usually roughly 45 bucks (as said before 1/2 an hour)...but if you are under warranty then its FREE!

Re: dealer charges
all you need is a obd2 code reader almost all cars after around 2001 have a set standard obd (onboard diagnostics) system that utilises the same codes across the board.
